About the event
The race is for six oared Watermen’s cutters carrying a coxswain and one passenger (both to be wearing life jackets). The course is from HQS ‘Wellington’, King’s Reach to Imperial Wharf, a distance of 4.6 statute miles. Crews to muster Coin Street Shoal on the South Bank of the Thames (close to National Theatre) just downstream of Waterloo Bridge close to The National Theatre. (LW @ LB 1817 BST).
We hope to arrange for a passenger vessel to depart from central London at 18:30 and return to Blackfriars Pier after the race, during which a light buffet will be served followed by the prize giving.
